Fashion is clearly coming to the metaverse. Richard Hobbs, CEO of BNV envisioned this years ago which is why he created the company to bridge that gap between the real and digital worlds and enable fashion brands to go digital, easily.
Ralph Lauren, who has never before sold digital clothing, is one of the latest brands to adapt to the digital world with Korean 3D avatar platform Zepeto on Wednesday. They offer a digital fashion collection for sale, along with themed virtual environments.
Players can dress up their favourite avatars on Zepeto with more than 50 unique items spanning a mix of vintage Polo Ralph Lauren favorite pieces and others from its current summer collection. There will also be two limited-edition skateboards designed exclusively for the virtual collection.
BNV is perhaps the most talked about company working to bring fashion brands into the metaverse. BNV has recently teamed up with one of the most popular streetwear brands worldwide to launch a highly anticipated NFT drop, coming soon. Stay tuned.
