Metaverse world Decentraland announced in June 2021 that users could now create and sell their own fashion pieces for avatars to wear and flaunt on the platform. Right there and then Hiroto Kai started to design Japanese-inspired garments where he was able to make $15,000-$20,000 in only three weeks, which he earned in a full year of work at his music store job.

He has since quit his music store job to become a full-time designer to fully embrace the world of digital fashion and NFT’s, a wise choice. “It just took off,” Kai said.
