Francis de Lara is the world’s first fine jewellery eyewear brand founded by internationally recognised fashion photographer and creative director John-Paul Pietrus. Following his passion for fine jewellery, the brand was born after John-Paul attended the esteemed Metallo Nobile jewellery school in Florence, Italy, where he focused on the Renaissance. The exquisite physical pieces use ethically-sourced diamonds, rubies, emeralds, amethysts, and other precious stones, plus ebony wood, gold, and silver. The foundation of his collection is the unexpected form of eyewear and his haute-couture art-glasses. The genesis item: the signature ‘Eve’ are one-of-a-kind (meaning only one of each pair with a specific combination of stones and materials exist in the real world) and hand-wrought by his artisan in Florence.
